I’m the founder of MusicLoner. This is my brandstory. It is about why I think this world could use MusicLoner
HERD ANIMALS, LISTEN
We have become less and less alike. In a world full of different styles and influences, arts and (a lot of) new music, everybody develops their own acquired taste. Regardless of style, regardless of popularity and regardless of friends’ tastes.
Still, nobody wants to order one beer . Although it is cheaper and nobody minds, we don’t like going somewhere alone. We can’t do anything about it. We. Are. Herd. Animals.
That’s why we go to concerts with unenthusiastic friends. That’s why we won’t go when nobody else does. That’s why many concerts are left unattended while we would actually like to go.
Herd animals, we have a problem. Thus, we invented MusicLoner.
MusicLoner connects people with the same taste in music. Loners add concerts they would like to go to. ‘Pionering Loners’ go either way, ‘Perhaps Loners’ might go. Then, the linked loners will go to that concert together. They don’t have to share a lot of interests, they just share the music.
There is too much untapped audience in this world. MusicLoner aims to solve that. In our perfect world, people won’t skip a concert because they have nobody to go with.
MusicLoner. It is an ode to music. To individuality. To you.
Currently the people from Goddog, Tijs Bakker and Jessica de Ligt are designing a beta version. Roos Greiner and Bonno van Doorn are creating a movie. I am creating the rest, like connections, task lists, lunches and hopefully the buzz.
